Grumpy Backpack
Obed has been a grump for several weeks, which is quite odd for his normal temperament. He has had back to back... to back to back sickness. Two ear infections, Roseola, and now a nasty cold... all adding up to a terribly grumpy little boy. Last night as I was getting dinner ready, Obed was screaming. As long as he is being held, or really, touching a parent in any way, he is content. Vince was trying to fix the backdoor, which he found difficult to do with both hands holding a child, so he put Obed in the backpack. Looking at Obed in this picture, you'd never know he was grumpy - with his big smile. What you don't know, however, is that he is actually saying, "I won! I won! I got my way suckas!"

He wasn't grumpy. You're lying. It's hard to believe a "real" pastor's wife would lie.
Small blessings are wonderful too...it's hard to not smile at that face so I won't even try! What a honey...'grumpy' and all! Thanks for sharing your precious little guys with someone you don't even know. :) P.S. I always enjoy m.'s 'fun' comments!

M - you've found out my dirty little secret... I lie to get attention. This was the best one I could come up with yesterday. Oh well... maybe I need to work at coming up with better lies. Next time I'll say I had TWO grumpy boys.
or a rabid squirrel.
This reminds me of when I was younger (or rather what my mom tells me of when I was younger). I used to get fussy in the house so my mom would put me in a backpack similar to Obed's but more 'old school'. Then she'd send me out with my dad on the tractor and I'd be as happy as could be.
